Susan Fitter Sloane, founder of Global Manners, LLC, an International Etiquette and Protocol Consultancy, loves her work. She leads clients on a journey of inner grace and poise by following a simple roadmap of manners, etiquette, and great social skills. These essential distinctions have nurtured an elegance and new level of confidence to thousands of her clients in Europe and the United States, be them stay-at-home moms or jet-setting CEOs.

Susan first had her academic eye on nursing school. “I’m a true ‘helper personality’ confesses Susan, but I was inspired by some amazing Psychology professors and soon changed my major.  It was no surprise that Susan’s career melded a scientific approach to the art of living by incorporating her knowledge of human behavior and social interaction. Susan received a Master’s Degree in Clinical Psychology from the University of Tulsa. She is Certified in Adult and Corporate Etiquette and International Protocol as well as in Children and Teen Etiquette by Dorothea Johnson of the Protocol School of Washington. Additionally, Susan is a Certified Image Consultant with the Association of Image Consultants International.

More than just a purveyor of social rules and protocol, Susan feels fortunate to actually the live the lifestyle about which she coaches her clients. An accomplished equestrian, Susan is a member of the Master of the Foxhounds Association. She regularly hunts with the Orange County Hunt and competes in equestrian events. Moreover, Susan travels extensively and spends as much as a third of the year abroad. She enjoys theatre and the arts, fine wines and cheese and is attempting to dine at all the top 50 restaurants of the world. “Authenticity is integral to credibility” notes Susan adding that, “If you’re going to talk the talk, you must walk the walk.”

Susan feels that her mission is to assist the clients in developing new levels of confidence, accomplishment and empowerment by perfecting social skills appropriate to any social situation, anywhere in the world. “Anyone can learn charm, charisma and confidence and exponentially increase their personal and professional power,” asserts Susan. “And, they can use these skills and achieve their goals with kindness and compassion.”

Susan hopes to spread the message that good manners are mostly about kindness and considering the comfort level of other people. And, while interested in style and fashion, she is not as interested in trendy fads. Her focus is not as much on fashionable as it is on timeless, well-mannered behavior that enhances the lives of all. Fashion changes, good manners are constant. Thanks to Susan Fitter Sloane, they are now available to everyone.
